Lo Spirito e l’«abbà» dei credenti (Gal 4, 6-7; Rm 8, 14-17)
Cari fratelli e sorelle,
mercoledì scorso ho mostrato come san Paolo dice che lo Spirito Santo è il grande maestro della preghiera e ci insegna a rivolgerci a Dio con i termini affettuosi dei figli, chiamandolo «Abbà, Padre». Così ha fatto Gesù; anche nel momento più drammatico della sua vita terrena, Egli non ha mai perso la fiducia nel Padre e lo ha sempre invocato con l’intimità del Figlio amato. Al Getsemani, quando sente l’angoscia della morte, la sua preghiera è: «Abbà! Padre! Tutto è possibile a te: allontana da me questo calice! Però non ciò che voglio io, ma ciò che vuoi tu» (Mc 14,36).
